Aisha Noel - Recording Academy Voting Member (Class of 2026) & Soca Pop Pioneer.
Aisha Noel is a Trinidadian singer, songwriter, and producer pioneering the global "Soca Pop" movement. Newly inducted as a Voting Member of the Recording Academy (Class of 2026), Aisha blends traditional Caribbean rhythms with modern pop and electronic textures.
Born in Trinidad & Tobago, Aisha grew up steeped in the rhythms of the islands. Her music is rooted in soul, R&B and mindful Caribbean grooves, speaking to love, elevation and divine feminine confidence. Soft yet commanding, hers is a presence that doesn't need to shout to be felt.
Inspired by the spirit of timeless soul: Sade, Nina Simone, Amy Winehouse.
Her latest single "Touch" is part of the Elevate Riddim, created to raise vibration and connect us through music; one blood, one race, one humanity. Beyond her own releases, Aisha is an accomplished songwriter, lending her pen to some of the leading names in soca and Caribbean music.

A celebration of Caribbean music, cultural legacy and the power to rise above limitations.
A Song I’m Proud to Have Written
As a Trinidadian singer-songwriter and Recording Academy Voting Member, I’m proud to present “Elevate” for consideration for Song of the Year.
Being a writer on this record is especially meaningful to me because “Elevate” brings together artists who represent different generations of the soca story. It is a celebration of where Caribbean music comes from, where it is today, and where it can go next.
At its heart, “Elevate” is about rising above limitations, pursuing your dreams and continuing to move forward — a message that reflects both the spirit of the song and my own journey as a Caribbean artist.
A Meeting of Generations
“Elevate” represents a meaningful meeting of generations within soca and Caribbean music.
Machel Montano has played a defining role in bringing soca and Trinidad & Tobago’s Carnival culture to audiences around the world, earning his place as one of the genre’s most influential artists.
Nailah Blackman represents a new generation of Caribbean music while carrying a direct connection to soca’s origins as the granddaughter of Garfield Blackman, known as Lord Shorty, widely recognized as the creator of soca music.
Bringing these two artists together on one record creates a powerful connection between soca’s roots, its present and its future.
As a Trinidadian songwriter, being part of that musical moment is something I’m deeply proud of.
My Contribution
I’m grateful to be one of the writers behind “Elevate.”
As an artist and songwriter from Trinidad & Tobago, Caribbean music is part of my creative foundation. Writing for a record that brings together such significant voices in soca is particularly meaningful to me.
“Elevate” reflects something I believe deeply as a songwriter: music can carry culture forward while still creating space for something new.
This song is not only part of my journey as a writer — it is part of my journey as a Caribbean artist representing the music I come from on a global stage.
Raise Up Di Vibrations
“Elevate” is a song about moving forward, rising above limitations and choosing to keep going.
Its message is simple: raise your energy, believe in what is possible, and continue reaching higher.
Raise up di vibrations.
That spirit is at the heart of the song — and at the heart of what I hope Caribbean music continues to do: connect people, inspire movement and carry our culture beyond borders.
